be yourself

"Wanting to be someone is a waste of the person you are."

Wow. Could not have hit it more on the dot than that. I agree. I think that you are the way you are for a reason. You may not feel like you have a purpose or why your here but there is a reason. It may take a whole life time to realize why that is as well. People always say I wish i was her/him. but really i think people mean they wish they had some of their life style. But a life style is something that we totally can control. I dont know the reason that I am here on this planet. But I know I am for some reason. I am happy with the life that i live. I know I make bad choices but I learn from them..

I dont want to waste the time that I do have on earth. So I will be who I am.

So far...

I am really confused on what we are doing. I get the over all picture and I think that it is really cool but I am just confused on how we are going to really get people to see this. I think that some people in class have such good ideas and they need to share those with others because just being in class has helped me so far.

As far as my goals go, I think I am doing pretty well on both!!! I am really positive this semester. I think that I can try harder on trying to keep up with everything but overall im happy with everything.

I have a really big volleyball game tomorrow that I am very excited for!! Everyone should come!! It is a black out game!!! I think that is all for now... I am not sure if Ms. Tucker is my follower? Does any one know how to add her!?

Self-Concept

I do agree with the statement that your self compect is formed by what other people tell you. I think at the ages from 6 to 12 you don't have the confidence to know any better. If someone told you.. your dress was ugly, or you talked funny, I would believe it at that age. I remember going home from school one day crying because the boy I had a crush on told me that my dress was ugly. I loved that dress; I was even the one who picked it out with my mom. But, I convinced myself that it was ugly and I never wore it again. I think those years shape who you are, even if you don't remember it.

I got a long with everyone when i was little. I was a tom boy so I hung out with mostly boys. I think they made fun of me a lot mostly because I was something different from them and they did not understand them. I think that helped shape me for who I am today though. I still think that I get along with boys better than girls, but I can take anything that people say to me. I wouldnt want to change anything about my childhood, I had so much fun. My parents demanded a lot from me. So now, I demand a lot from myself.

I love fall!!!

I love this time of year. I love the weather, the new starts of being in school, and volleyball. There are lots of things that I would change if I had the chance, but I know that some things are unchangeable and make me part of who I am. I thought it was important to understand that we do have room to change and grow. That is the first step in making a cange.
A few things that I can control that I would like to change are: keeping up with school and getting good grades, and staying positive. I am in a sport right now and I miss a lot of school so its difficult to keep up with everything. I put everything off till the very last minute then get very stressed out. This then makes me be negative about everything, including my sport. I want to try to stay organized. So far I have done a pretty good job, but I always start out good and then get lazy. I have a lot of growth to be made, but this will be the start for me. I think its a good beginning for me because I will be organized and happy!!
